When a payment is issued to a member, Panorama sends an email notification. A detailed report is also available for download on the Octave portal, under the "My Distributions" section. This report provides a breakdown of each tariff paid, by sound recording and/or music video. For any specific questions regarding payments, please contact Member Services.
When sound recordings and/or music videos are declared on the Octave portal, Panorama ensures that all retroactively collectible royalties are recovered. However, royalties from broadcasts beyond a certain number of years may have already been closed, depending on usage and territories. Typically, it is possible to recover royalties from the past 3 to 4 years.
Royalties paid to members are not subject to sales tax but are considered taxable income. To this end, annual tax statements are issued and made available for download through the member portal. If you require tax statements from previous years that are no longer accessible on the portal, you may contact Member Services for assistance.
